The Unibrain FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) 9-pin to 9-pin cable is built for high-speed, low-noise FireWire connections in professional AV, broadcast, industrial, and scientific environments where FireWire 800 is still mission-critical.
Unlike generic FireWire cables, Unibrain designs these with precision 110-ohm impedance control, multi-layer shielding (foil + braid), and high-density connector housings to minimize skew, attenuation, crosstalk, EMI, and RFI. The result is stable S800 performance even at longer cable lengths.
These cables exceed the original IEEE-1394b 4.5 m limitation and are engineered for reliable operation up to 10 m (32.8 ft) when used with compliant FireWire 800 devices and host controllers.
